Thermal Gas Cracker : TGC
Nikalyte’s Thermal Gas Cracker (TGC) is a highly efficient device designed for the thermal dissociation of molecular gases such as Hydrogen and Oxygen. Utilizing e-beam heating within a fine-bore inert cracker tube, the TGC achieves gas dissociation through an oxygen-resistant filament. This catalytic process allows for dissociation rates exceeding 70% at relatively low operating temperatures, making it more efficient compared to traditional tungsten filament crackers, which require higher temperatures and are not suitable for reactive gases.
The TGC is fully UHV-compatible, ensuring minimal contamination and reliable performance in vacuum environments. Integrated water cooling further reduces outgassing, while the low gas flow and power requirements keep the heat load on the vacuum chamber to a minimum. The system is versatile, capable of being supplied as a standalone unit or seamlessly integrated into any custom-built Nikalyte PVD system. This makes the TGC an ideal solution for applications requiring precise gas dissociation with minimal impact on the overall vacuum environment.
